Highlighting selected item

Apr 14, 2011 at 10:53 AM

Normally, if you select an item in the treeview, the element is adorned with a pink border. I have one app however where this feature has stopped working. What could cause this?

The app shows a world map that consists of a large number of canvasses and polygons. The one thing I thought could cause this, was the Panel.ZIndex that is set on certain shapes.

Ctrl-Shift click to select an element works perfectly, but the pink border never appears.

The following is in the trace file if that helps:

System.Windows.ResourceDictionary Warning: 9 : Resource not found; ResourceKey='noBreakpointDrawingImage'

One thing that you could check is to see ... if you can find the AdornerLayer (or AdornerDecorator) that is the highlighting rectangle ... on the visual tree (in Snoop). If you can find it, but can't see it ... you may indeed have a ZIndex issue.

The trace statement is something else entirely and not related.

Let me know what you find out,
