Can't Snoop with VS2012

Nov 28, 2012 at 4:11 PM

I followed the tips in the previous 'Cant Snoop' post without success. Are there instructions on how to get Snoop working with VS2012?

Hi dgennetten,

Is it that you want to Snoop the Visual Studio 2012 program itself, or do you want to build Snoop with VS2012?

I want to snoop a WPF app debugging in vs2012.

With the other post, There was a small typo. Where it says "I tried checking off the CommonLanguageRuntime exception thrown box", it should be that you should turn ON the CommonLanguageRuntime exception. When you have "Enable just my code" turned OFF and the CommonLanguageRuntime turned ON (meaning the "Common Language Runtime Exceptions" Thrown column is checked), what happens when you try to snoop your app?

It still doesn't show in the snoop dropdown.

The drop down feature in snoop is obsolete. The way you're supposed to Snoop with version 2.7+ is to drag the cross hairs button onto the application you want to snoop. The cross hairs button is the white button with a cross on it.

Duh.  I was running an old version. Works fine. Thanks.
