"Calling thread" issue

Hi there, I have following problem with Snoop for WPF4: It happens not regularly, but sometimes when I start an Application inside my Visual Studio 2010, and then wants to "snoop" inside, the Debugger tells me that there is an Exception, because a calling thread cannot access some code. Anyway this happens only sometimes, and I cannot figure out, why. I'm running Windows XP, I heard from somebody that this error doesn't occures in Win 7, is this right? Greeting, Michael

First off, I don't know how well Snoop handles Snoop(ing) an application that is being debugged. (I just had to try that myself, right now.) I typically only use Snoop on a normal, running Application.

However ... the only issue I know about that was Windows XP specific was this one (http://snoopwpf.codeplex.com/workitem/4306) ... which was fixed in Snoop v2.5.1.

Do you have the latest bits? I did fix a threading situation not so long ago (http://snoopwpf.codeplex.com/workitem/4845). Maybe that fix would help you. In order to get the latest bits, you need to download the source code and build the WPF 4.0 version from the 2.5 branch. There is a 2.6 branch but work is in progress on that branch.
